Big stop just to renew your license to companion. Can I use companion as a verb?

Always Anti-fascist!

Thanks...I still feel that I've come close to something without really hitting it yet.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

I agree - you haven't quite hit it. It's close, though. I think there's going to be a moment, a point at which the woman in your head/the woman in the chair/the you that's out there dancing and seducing hot men all collide and then? Well. You'll hit it, whang in the gold.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Anyone feel like beta-ing a rough draft of a synopsis? It's 6 doublespaced Courier 12 pages.

Susan, reading now. I have some comments - will be sending shortly. The hook is perfect, BTW.

Got it--thanks! I think your suggestions are right on target. Believe it or not, I'd already replaced one "devastated." It's amazing how taking frequent breaks to talk to a baby in a bassinet three feet from your computer prevents you from realizing you're repeating yourself!

Oh, excellent. Thing is, since one of the things they're looking for is voice, you want to make sure you don't sound too cautious, too narrative. But there were really only those few places where it caught at me. The rest was just fine.

Teppy, do we have a new theme?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm glad you asked, deb. I was feeling all fidgety, but I figured, holiday weekend. I was trying not to be too pushy about it.
