You know what they say about payback? Well I'm the bitch.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I managed to severely blister both hands and pull tendons in both of them

Yikes. Take care of yourself.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

sj, insent with clowns.

edit: and to Polter-Cow as well. Thanks, all. I think it's shaping up, and hopefully, despite the obvious nod to Bradbury's "Something Wicked...", it isn't too close. Besides, our writing styles are very different.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

edit: and to Polter-Cow as well.

Cool, cool. What are you looking for from a beta read? Just general impressions and comments, or do you want line-editing? I can do either or both, but I don't want to go too critical on an early draft if you don't want that much input.

General beta, P-C. Does it grab, how's the character, does anything stand out good or bad, how's the flow. That sort of thing.

I haven't edited, so line-editing not really needed this early on. It's more about the writing and the story.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I'm very close to the end of "Nihilist Chic."

May have the draft done tonight. Soon, in any case.

If anyone's got any inspiration vibes, I could use 'em.

Well timed. It's finished.

It needs an editing. It needs to be reworked. It's still bloody and bruised, but it's done.

Thanks everyone, for your support. Would never have gotten through it without you.

Dear God. The hard part starts now, doesn't it?

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

The next hard part, but you've got the first hard part behind you.

YAY!!!!!

Thank God. Thesaly's out, so I went and wrung up a novelist friend of mine on the West Coast, just so I could tell someone. She's laughing at me, but she doesn't think I'm crazy.
