Erika, you rock. That's a great piece and I'm sure you'll be able to shoehorn a little more profanity in there somewhere.

The Great Write Way
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
God, is that my dream editorial comment, or what?Actually, that was just part of her suggestion to make it less "girly"...if I had known, really, that they were going to be my best bet, I would have, but I'm a new writer shopping stuff to people that don't know me, I figured caution wouldn't hurt.(If she worked out of the Bay Area, not Topeka, I would have said "Hec put you up to that one, didn't he?:)) Don't know why he finds me cursing so comic, but whatever blows his dirndl up.
When I sent the ms. off, my mother was like "There are radicals in Kansas?"
"I can top that. I'm a radical, and I'm *here*." I said.
"Yes. Right. I keep forgetting."
Nilly, no email yet. I think you have subversive gremlins in the university server.
Grr, it's sitting there in my "out sent" box, but not really going out.
The university doesn't want me to be connected to the outside world.
I've re-sent. Hope either mail will get to you.
I'll keep an eye on it, and let you know shortly, love.
I'm off for the evening, but could you post here when you get the mail? There are also problems with incoming e-mail, so I think this is the safest way. Sorry for the bother.
Nilly, it's now an hour later; not a word.
Congrats Erika! :) Thats fantastic!

bwahaha sounds definetly sellable
Thanks, everyone for your kind thoughts. I am waiting for her to call me back now...I hate that. But then, I hate to wait for my fingernails to dry, so definite YMMV.
I'm behind in my congratuations. Yay for the acceptance of Susan's magazine piece. Teppy, I really liked your fencing piece and wished it could be longer. Erika, I'm glad you got good feedback on your piece. I really think you've got a future as an essayist to a broad audience, because you have such a distinctive voice.
Now I need to get those queries off.
