Good Trouble and Righteous Fights
I'm still amazed I actually pulled it off. I spent most of high school and some of college when I had time writing Chapter Ones. Occasionally Chapters Two and Three. And then I had a fantasy epic that was sort of cruising along, but then I went to England and met DH and reevaluated my views of the place/time/era I'd been adapting to fantasy (which had nothing to do with DH--just happened concurrently), so that fizzled out. And then nothing for years until I started this one.
I'm going to let it rest for a few days, and then start putting together a pitch for the writing conference weekend after next and polishing the thing until it's good enough to send to deb's agent friend and anyone else who's interested. And then, well, time to start the next novel, and put a little more energy into my freelancing so I won't have to go back to the Day Job post-baby.
