Huggers--is there a convention? Not like HugCon, but do y'all lean to your left when coming in for a hug?
Yes.
Cultural? National? Regional?
No idea. But now I'm curious.
'Out Of Gas'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

It is standard company policy at most places saying you can't talk about salary. State laws on whether that's allowed may differ.
The Rolling Stones are playing about 500 feet from my house right now.
How's it sound?
Happy belated birthday, btw!
I think I go in left shoulder on most casual hugs. That leaves my right arm free. If it's a close friend/intimate hug - full frontal press.
Lee, on your Juniper Lee question, if it's who I think it is she used to be a Yeti. I forget her name, but she was the smartest of the Yetis (who are typically pretty dumb, apparently) and June did some sort of spell to de-hairify her so she could pass for human and go to school and stuff.
I think my head goes to my left so the huggees head is to my right. Back pats with the left hand if that's called for. Unless I'm holding something in either hand, of course. Then anything could happen.
do y'all lean to your left when coming in for a hug?
I never really thought about it before, but yeah, I think so.
I slept for 12 almost uninterrupted hours. Why do I feel like I could take a nap?

Head to the left?
I give a million sorts of hugs to krav people alone, based on physical and other intimacy. But I always go left, and there's nary a collision.
A friend of mine from Vancouver asked about kissing guys on the cheek and I was adamant that I was not about to start. She got confused because I'd always done the Montreal double kiss (starting left, natch) when I was in Canada--it just seems weird here, though. There is one krav friend who does it, and I had to talk myself down from it creeping me out.
left, so right arm goes over shoulder and left under. right feel weird. of course if it is a both arms over the shoulder hug, it doesn;t matter which side.
I know I've had to do the which-way-to-lean dance when going in for a hug. That may have been me trying to hug non-huggers, though.

So your head can be left or right?
Now I'm trying to think of who I hug right over/left under and who I hug both over. And if I hug anyone both under.
