I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

If ever there was a time to post cat pictures, today was the day.

You totally would have killed us if you'd checked in to find nothing but cat pictures.

David, I'm so glad things seem to be hunky dory.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Hec, JZ reports that she's proud of you for not swigging the tequila straight from the bottle, as were the places reversed, she's sure she would be (and I expect she's rolling over and going to sleep right about now).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, if it helps -- I did post a cat related techinical problem I had in the technical problem thread.

Robocat reboot?

You totally would have killed us if you'd checked in to find nothing but cat pictures.

No, I scrolled past a great deal of entertaining Reuben kibbitzing. JZ wants me to print out Natter and bring her hard copy tomorrow.

JZ reports that she's proud of you for not swigging the tequila straight from the bottle

Just goes to show that her standards for Good Husband are set relatively low.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hec, is there anything we can do for you tomorrow or Sunday?

Also, is JZ allowed phone calls (in the AM, not now), and does she have her cell with her?

She's already bored and misses Natter. They want at least 24 hours with no bleeding and all the other tests lined up nicely before they'll turn her loose. She's still spotting a bit, so I think that she won't get out until Sunday. It might be nice to have some visitors on Sunday. We could do that Slings and Arrows marathon and just hang out. Depends on when she's released though.

Also, is JZ allowed phone calls (in the AM, not now), and does she have her cell with her?

She does have her cell, and I think she would welcome a call after mid-morning. Be warned, she may make you look up the movie listings on TNT tomorrow since she's chafing under the non-TiVo basic cable options. We watched The Mummy (Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisze edition) tonight. Every time the nurse walked in there was a great deal of howling going on. JZ found it diverting.

I'll set aside Sunday for coming to visit you all then, and come see you if it works for you. I'll also give her a call or two tomorrow, and have the TNT listings handy.

Always Anti-fascist!

My father? Didn't come home. It was midnight madness at the shirt store. (this came up again because it was my brother's birthday and his way into the world was a hemorrhage.)

  • My* standards for a good husband are low.
Laugh at my jokes and show up when I'm bleeding to death and you can be my OTP.

Polter-Cow - Aug 04, 2006 9:10:05 pm PDT #974 of 10001
What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yes. Boy cow with udders. It's very wrong.

Polter-Cow is a boy cow with udders! His name is Thunder.

Standing on her bed was a cow. Julie, older, could take in more details and, had she seen the cow in Danny’s closet or in his picture, she would have recognized them as one and the same. The cow was black-and-white, and it was male. So, technically, it was a bull, but the human mind being so ignorant of taxonomic biology, Julie, along with the rest of the world, continued to think of this adversary as a cow. Funny, humans are. That was all her subconscious could take in before she screamed and the cow, or bull, rather, vanished.

And, for kicks, in the revision:

The cow was black-and-white, but it had no udder. So, technically, it was a very strangely colored bull, but humans don’t pay attention to taxonomic biology. Regardless of its gender, the thing was a cow. And it looked just like the cow in the picture and the cow in the closet and absolutely nothing like the cow grazing in the field. Seconds later (4.2 seconds, to be exact), the cow, or to be more precise, the bull, vanished.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

We could do that Slings and Arrows marathon and just hang out. Depends on when she's released though.

Oooooh - could I come, too? Depending on things, of course?
