Angel: Just admit it: you think you're gonna ride in, save the day, and sweep Buffy off her--Spike: Like you're not thinking the same thing. Angel: I'm already seeing somebody. Spike: What, dog girl?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Cash is, as in many things, me.

What is even happening?

My freshman year of college was 85/86. I think that's about when NKOTB broke on the scene.

It was much more a U2, Bruce, Simple Minds, Fine Young Cannibals, Hooters, OMD, Human League, Robert Palmer, Peter Gabriel sort of time at college.

Gah I hated FYC and Hooters. Aside from U2 and Bruce, I was mostly surviving on mix tapes my friend/boyfriend/friend/weirdness was sending me from U-Mass. Those songs were probably 10 to 20 years old. It was all Stones, Led Zep, The Who, Frampton, The Doobie Brothers, CCR, etc.

Oh! Except for the Violent Femmes! The townie boys we hung around with listened to the Femmes. A lot. A couple of them also had a band.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

In terms of Willie:

Willie Nelson and four others were issued misdemeanor citations.

Willie has recovered from the IRS stuff and is rich again as far as I know. So hopefully this like a $5 traffic ticket to him - pay the fine and move on.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm just glad it was a misdemeanor. Some states have harsher pot possession laws. He's definitely a survivor.

What is even happening?

Words to memorize, words hypnotize
Words make my mouth exercise
Words all failed the magic prize
Nothing I can say when I'm in your thighs

Sorry. I get VF Tourette's at the slightest provocation. Gordon Gano looks a little like j weewee in that video.

I missed the Willie news. Pot bust? I also managed to miss Cashmere's post about the Big Dog on TDS.

Thank you, Cashmere. Scott's going to program the TiVo, right now. I gotta crash. I got a second wind, or rather a first one, because the wine relieved my wheezing. Scott had been at a meeting, and I ironed and stuff, so it doesn't feel like 10:00pm, because I haven't settled down.

Music when we were in college really wasn't very...good. I had a feeling we were the same age, when you were talking about Shaun, megan. AmyLiz is around our age, too. I actually had you in my "26-28" column. If I don't know a Buffista's age (or have a firm idea of his/her age range), I decide s/he's 26-28.

Well, you're right on the money for me, T!C.

HMOG, just the prologue for Studio 60 and already I think I'm hooked.

I can honestly say I had no teen or preteen celeb crushes. Don't know why, just didn't. Didn't have many real people I knew ones either. Many embarrassing things from those years, but I skipped that part.

My drink of choice is straight up single malt scotch. Had a thing for g&ts with lime but soon figured out that t& lime was really what I liked. Though gin is still good.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, my students thought I was some sort of prodigy when they googled me and realized I graduated college in '89. Hah!

Music when we were in college really wasn't very...good.

I don't know, it was a pretty good time for alternative music. But Bruce and U2 were pretty big at my school as well. It was quite a change from my prep school, which was heavy into the Grateful Dead, Bob Marley, etc.
