I missed the NKOTB memo.
I think, at the time, I was too busy crushing on Davids Bowie and Sylvian.
I remember thinking Sinead O'Connor was heart-stoppingly beautiful, and being mildly sad that I found her so annoying. (Lion and the Cobra era.)
But really, my biggest crush of that era was MTV VJ Kevin Seal.
I was old enough that NKOTB didn't really interest me. I thought they were cute, but that was about it.
See, Cindy, I think I knew people around your age who were into them (my riding instructor, for one).
It always confused me.
I never liked NKoTB. The 80's and 90's were strictly alternative, punk and moving into grunge period for me, interspersed with classic rock.
