Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

OMG Shaun Cassidy was so pretty in the "Hey, Deenie" video. I mean, I remember him from the day, but I don't think I had the concpet of pretty boys down. Little more growed up in the other one.

I've had a weird, retroactive crush on Andy Gibb for years. (ETA: See, I'm watching the "Words" video, and he's just so... swear to god, he means every single word. And it's possible he's (er, was) singing directly. to. me.)

Clearly I need Trudy to teach me how to go out. I NEVER have that much fun on my birthday.

Trudy should make a tv show... how about "The Behinds of the Music"! Or, "I Macked On The Seventies"!

To date myself, I crushed on Joey from NKOTB. ::hangs head in shame::

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I crushed on Donnie and Marky Mark. The tradition of liking the "bad boys" is deep within me. Not that they were all that tough, but....

Um, more than fans of Shaun Cassidy and Leif Garrett? I think not.

Shaun Cassidy, Hey Deenie:

SQUEE!!!! I was transported back to the late 70s there for a minute. Now all we need is some Hardy Boys eps...

Somehow, I ended up with a crush on Parker Stevenson, not Shaun Cassidy, from the Hardy Boys. That might have been a subconscious decision to preserve my friendship with my BFF.

Oh, I meant dating me as in "much younger than everyone who's chimed in so far."

Cassidy's hot though.

My fave Shaun album cover: [link]

I also liked the one that had him in his tennis whites. He was so pretty!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

LEIF freaking GARRETT?!?!?!?

Trudy, you are the Bomb Diggetty of all time!

Now I prefer the more sedate vodka tonic. I suspect I need a secondary drink, though.

Vodka tonic made with mandarin or citron vodka? That's my club drink of choice.

Dude, all y'alls are listing these swanky drinks or funky drinks or, well, drinks with more than one ingredient, and all I can think is: my 3 favorite alcoholic beverages have only one ingredient.

1. Beer. In a can, in a bottle, in a mug, domestic, import, lite, regular -- I do not discriminate. Beer here.

2. Wine, preferably a hairy zinfandel or lusty shiraz (in cool weather) or buttery chardonnay (in warm weather).

3. Bourbon. In a glass, over ice. (That might be 2 ingredients. Shit.)

Despite my wine love, I am, when it comes down to it, just a redneck.

»ot that they were all that tough, but

they were HANGIN TOUGH.

as for drinks, I can only say yes. I like gimlets and vodka tonics. Also Jack and ginger. Sometimes whiskey sours (depends on the sour mix) I've also started drinking a concoction of Absolut Citron, soda and a splash of Rose's. Refreshing and not too sweet.
