Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I had major major insomnia, and when I tried laying down, I was so achey and tense that I just couldn't fall asleep. I didn't even let myself get online, I was good! ::sniff::

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm glad your mouth is doing better, msbelle. I hope you get the rest you need this afternoon.

I hope you feel better, and get lots of sleep tonight, Theodosia.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Why won't my coffee cup refill itself without requiring me to get up off the couch? Seems like a serious design flaw.

Our wings are not tired.

Why won't my coffee cup refill itself without requiring me to get up off the couch?

I tell my children this is why I keep them around. They @@, but they do fill the cup.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to say, I love the Maria Sharapova...Nike?...ad. The one where they sing "I feel pretty."

It's very nice and tidy, and inasmuch as the randy audience can tell one pretty blonde Russian tennis player from the next, serves to separate her from Kournikova. She's serenaded by everyone on her way to the tennis court, but her first stroke on the tennis court stops all the singing cold.

That one always catches my attention. I've seen it so many times, and yet I always notice it. Well done.

brillig

Huh, I always got the impression from that "I Feel Pretty" ad that they're being forced to sing it. The line judge looks particularly eye-rolly and put-upon.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I LOVE that ad.

I am off to try to really, really clean the house today--not just the usual vaccuming and scrubbing, but reorganizing some cabinets, cleaning the fridge, and other needed but time-consuming stuff.
