There was a great (and fairly graphic) TV movie with Elizabeth Montgomery made about Lizzie, that made the supposition that she'd stripped naked for the murders, cleaned herself up in the basement and was dressed by the time the bodies were found.

(Not mucb of a mystery actually. He was going to testify against Tamany Hall, and disappeared. Gee, what could have caused that?
