Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

Nope. She's on until her Sept. 6th appt at least.

Feh. S feels her pain, and I yours.

I'll be able to roam more freely than I've done in the last week and a half while he's been done with camp but not started with school.

YAY for more roaming!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

How is that, bon?

Edible, pretty much. Nothing special.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

How was the first day, Emily?

YAY for more roaming!

I'm running a high cabin fever. Also, Emmett's about to kill me with his need for constant physical activity. We play tennis in the morning and baseball in the afternoon (catch, but a long outing that takes 40 mins or so), and my right shoulder is about to combust. Plus, I've got to pry him off the computer and the TV regularly and enforce (a) reading time; (b) eating food which is Not!Crap. These are all arduous tasks with Emmett.

I had a grilled cheese sandwich with homegrown tomato in it. Yummy and gooey.

Compassionately intolerant

Dinner tonight was made of awesome.

My 16 year old neighbor/surrogate son had his birthday today...he, his mom and I made sushi (spicy tuna, smoked salmon) and sat around talking about penis piercings. Seriously.

We laughed and laughed. I love that kid.

Oh, and Bartle-update. Still not well. How long does food poisoning last in humans generally? This bout is kicking the poor pooch's furry backside.

eta to note that I'm too tired to type the difference between an ' and an e.

How long does food poisoning last in humans generally?

I think only a couple of days, at most.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Dinner tonight was take-out pizza. I don't actually remember the last time I cooked. We had Chinese food just before we left for the beach an Mom did all of the cooking while we were there. Not cooking tomorrow either. We're going to a baseball game tomorrow night (I hope the rain holds off) and probably having concession stand food for dinner.
