The new coat is light blue and black tweed, with some pleats like at the bottom, and a belt, and it's FAB. Also got good justification from my mother, who pointed out I should be upgrading my look for my new job.
Nice bag! I need one of those, too.

The house is cleared out now after the Buffista baby shower, but we still have cake. Perfect!
It was very fun and JZ soaked up the socializing like a very dry sponge fallen into the Red Sea.
I went to TJs, no lime popscicles. DAMN!
so frozen cherries were consumed instead. they continue to be one of the best things ever.

We didn't have lime popsicles for the shower, but there was TJ's a plenty. It was pretty much a Trader Joe's buffet line in the kitchen.
Yum! Sounds like a good time.
Oh, I forgot to mention the star sightings of the day: David Cross on a bike and then super stylist Phillip Bloch.
OH! and I remembered to turn on my TV for BB AS! YAY!
msbelle: Don't forget about Big Brother!
I think I said this last year, but: Big Brother is just like Oz. The show, not the place with Dorothy et al. It makes me laugh really hard.
Also, here is what is awesome about Will: He actually doesn't tell anyone anything. It's fucking awesome. Everyone else is always like "Ooh, I swear I won't tell anyone" and then they run ASAP to tell everyone. @@
OMG and PS, I just realized what he's really doing, and it's even more awesome.
Erin, sorry if I caused offense. I brought up that it was a charter school because not all their teachers are accredited, so it seemed relevant. And because part of their appeal is that they don't have the same bureaucracy, which is what seems to have backfired in this case. I wasn't slamming all charter schools.
No, no, Strega – it’s just that, as per Laura’s post: The charter schools I have seen if Florida range from wonderful schools with superior teachers and facilities to scams to get funds that do a horrible disservice to the children and community. In particular, the charter school near my mother's house is fabulous and a much better choice than the local public school. We went to an open house for one opening near me and it was clear that it was an excuse for the church to rent out unused space. It ended up closing 3/4 of the way through the school year leaving the kids out of step with the rest of their class when they were shoved back into public school. Like all public or private schools, the charters have a range in quality.
You can get some ass-tastic charter schools, as is the case with ANY type of school, but not all charters are. We have 100% certified teachers, and 62% of us have MA’s or above. And we serve low-income, urban core Hispanic students.
I really am proud of our school.
