I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yay, Kristin! It's great to have buffistas within force feeding and personal distraction distance for Sean.

Thanks for the job~ma, folks! I've figured out what I'm wearing at the interview, down to the mysterious ring that showed up in Mom's jewelry, which neither my sister nor I had ever seen before. I claimed it and can't seem to stop wearing it. Luckily it's reasonably professional-looking. It's gold, with an oval, blue-green, translucent cabachon stone. Inside the band there are some interesting markings including what looks like a wee Masonic symbol. If the interviewer tells me the whole thing's on the square, I guess I'll be all set.

Kristin, I'm glad to hear you are able to be there to take care of Sean today and distract him.

Much job~ma to all who needs it.

The last time I woke up from anesthesia, I remember asking when the surgery was going to start, and then being told it was already over. It was very confusing because the moment before going under and the moment I realized I was awake seemed like they were right next to each other time wise. I was also sick for days afterward from it.

This was totally me when I was put under for my wisdom teeth. No sickness that I can recall, either.

Ditto for me.

However, the times I've been semi-under using those short-term memory drugs for colonoscopy etc., I've woken up groggy and then asked the same questions over and over again all the way on the drive home. DexH was ready to throttle me the last time I went (couple of years ago).

One assignment done for class. It was the vaguest assignment ever, and I hope I answered it right, because I am not going to be here to fix it before it is due on Thursday. 5 hours to vacation.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

jobma ~~ Calli.

and I don't think I said yay for P and DH and the new family member!

There are now rules for DH when he comes out of anthesia. ( they have to look at his innards every so often) The big one is there is no stopping anywhere on the way home. no matter what . he seems ok , but then I see him standing in the middle of an aisle of a bookstore happily swaying. And my job is to be paitent. because even though he seems very coherent - he will do something like call me just before I get home from the drug store to tell me he is fine. It is cute more than scary.

What is even happening?

Picking Sean up between 12-1 today and force-feeding him. Also distracting him with random silliness and shelf-installation.

Excellent!

If the interviewer tells me the whole thing's on the square, I guess I'll be all set.

It sounds very pretty, and that's such a nice thing to have, particularly since there's a little mystery to it. Was your mom's father a Mason, or anything? Could she have been in Rainbow, growing up?

yup , that's the one.

the worse time was when I had to take him to the ER . we had just moved here - 10 days on the job for Matt. they gave him demerol. he thought he could walk, but he couldn't . and I had to figure out how to get to the right door of the hospital to pick him up. and then I had to drive home, not 100 % sure of the way. and I had to make a stop on the way home at a pharmacy. I told matt how I was driving home. Seconds later he was all "WHERE ARE YOU GOING" . then I had to lock him in the car at the pharmacy , praying that he couldn't figure out how to unlock the doors. then I had to get him in the houe when he could barely walk....

Ann, that's a ferret.

Good plan. Silly brainless movie may also help.
