[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Last time CJ had surgery he was so concerned that he would remember, he kept asking the doctors if he would remember as he was going under. His first words upon waking? "Mom, I don't remember anything!" Well, yeah babe, that is the point.

That was also the recovery room where I read him another chapter of Harry Potter, don't recall which book, and ended up being asked to speak up so the other kids in recovery could get in on the story.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Was your mom's father a Mason, or anything? Could she have been in Rainbow, growing up?

Not that I know of. Which leaves me free to speculate. Secret cabal? Pre-Dad boyfriend? Maybe Mom was in a supersekrit group that uses the Masons as a front. When the Order of the Golden Compass takes charge I'll be in the elite! [Note to self: Read those Pullman books already.]

Whee! I tried to google, but since I can't see the ring, it was senseless. There are a lot of hits if you google "Masonic Jewelry". Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls would probably give you hits, as well.

Heh. My father was a Mason (pretty high up, 33rd degree, I think), but lost interest in it. My mother tried to find his apron thingie before his funeral, but couldn't. I'll wear it, and my uncle's Shriner lapel pin, and stand next to you and your seekrit ring.

When I was in junior high, a girl invited me to Rainbow Girls with her, but it wasn't my cup of tea, and Dad didn't seem overly invested one way or another. I think he was a bit of a joiner, in his day.

move out and draw fire

{{{Sean}}}

First time I had general, it was wildly disorienting. They put me under first thing in the morning, and I remembered clearly counting backwards from 10 (I got to 8) and the next thing I knew the windows had moved to the other side of my bed and it was sunset. Then I puked.

Next couple of times, general and local + conk-out gas, DH was there to try and talk me up out of it. He gets freaked because he says my eyes go all ice blue, like I'm on melange.

Anyway, last time I was on general the anesthesiologist said I shouldn't go under again as I don't come out of it easily, so everything since then has been local. Which is fine with me as I don't tend to freak out, but annoys the cutter and crew as they can't speak freely.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

ND's dad is a Mason at some ridiculously high level. Every time I see him I'm tempted to shout, "Are you hiding the GRAIL?!?", but I have a feeling that wouldn't go over well. Makes me giggle, though.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Seanie, I hope today is better, for both you and S. I'm glad Kristin is going to force feed you.

In Yay news, Bessie the carpod seems to have recovered from dying last night. Now I wonder if she frequently takes evenings off, and I just didn't know since I don't go out at night.

Raq, when do you expect your biopsy results?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

"Are you hiding the GRAIL?!?"

ND's dad is that knight guy, isn't he?

"Choose wisely."

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Oy. I think I'll run the risk of mass pukage vs. having to sit through that. I have a hard enough time in the dentist chair (esp. during root canals), I don't think I could cope with anything more.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Every time I see him I'm tempted to shout, "Are you hiding the GRAIL?!?", but I have a feeling that wouldn't go over well.

But if you don't ask, you'll never find out! Do it, do it!
