Okay, finishing tea, putting on shoes, and heading to the hospital again.

Thanks, everyone.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Is there anything we can do to help? A hotel room closer to the hospital so you don't have to drive so far? Gift certificate for food that doesn't come in a tube? Don't be afraid to say so.

Very good call, Sparky.

Last time I was under, I'm fairly sure I came out of it like a champ, but I know there are parts I don't quite remember. Or, at all, really. Much better than the previous two times, where as soon as I regained consciousness, I started throwing up. Bless that last anaesthesia team.

Sean, I don't have your current cell. Can you email it to me? Very worried about you. I know you won't ask, so I'm telling you that we are going to take you out to a meal at some point today.

Remember, S. even said when we saw her Friday night that she wants you to not spend every second at the hospital with her--that she wants you to get out and eat and be distracted. We are going to provide that whether you want it or not, bucko. t /nagging sister-type

Hugs. Soon in person.

This is me. I've never had any anesthesia from a little nitrous oxide in the dentist's chair to being completely under for surgery that didn't make me sick. After I had my wisdom teeth out I threw up for 36 hours. Not fun with a mouth full of stitches. I don't generally blame the doctors, I just think I'm blessed with a stomach that will backflip with a full twist at the slightest provocation.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

{{{Sean}}} I am so sorry, honey. Coping~ma to you and health~ma to S.

job ~ma for Calli, brenda & beth's DH!

I've been under 4 times. I don't remember the recovery room at all from the first 2 when I was a kid. The other two, I remember it but vaguely.

The first time, I was about 5 years old. The anesthesiologist (sp??) came to the children's ward the night before dressed like an astronaut and told all the kids having surgery the next that that we were going to go in space the next day and play spaceman. He would be there to help us and he showed us the mask we would need to breathe in outer space.

The next day, I woke up and immediately asked my mom when I'd get to go play spaceman. Turns out, I already has the surgery, but I didn't remember anything.

I'm still bummed that I don't remember playing spaceman.

Now tagless for your comfort.

No wireless connection?

Nope--I have wireless now! As a matter of fact, this is coming from my back yard.

Picking Sean up between 12-1 today and force-feeding him. Also distracting him with random silliness and shelf-installation.

That's awesome, Kristin!

Much -ma to S and you, too, Sean. Yay for Kristin and ND and the force-feeding. Initially I read shelf-installation as self-installation and was very curious... shelves I get, though.

That sucks about the job, Cashmere. Better things lie ahead, then.

Job-ma all around for those wanting it.

I found going under and waking up to be weirdly fascinating. The strangest part was closing my eyes to go under, and then opening them up a couple of seconds later... only to realize it had been hours. Freaky. I do remember everthing pretty well, though. Well, as far as I know. In any case, I have a lot of memory and a decent sense of the time that passed once I woke up in the OR, through recovery room to hospital room.

Cass, so very happy for P, her DH and their new little girl!
