I was surfing the 'net for a while just now, and Harvey wandered over to purr at me and finally settled down beside my mousing hand on the desk, and then put his head over my wrist. After a while, His purrs subsided and he fell asleep. Still on my wrist.

I was careful not to shuffle the mouse too violently, lest he wake up. Eventually, though, I had to get up, and slowly pulled my wrist away.

He looked up at me sleepily, stretched and yawned.

Cats are so damn cute.

Yeah. Rocky was just lying on his back on the couch beside me chirruping. So. Damn. Cute.

It almost makes me forget him annoyingly wandering around the house last night mewing piteously for no discernable reason. Almost.

Cats are so tyrannical in their cuteness. They do something ridiculously cute, and then you find yourself completely unable to move because the cuteness is placed in such a way that you can't move, or blink, or reach your inhaler, and you just think, "So damn cute!"

Dogs, otoh - well, we have a new rule in our house. To wit: if you want me to take seriously the grave security threat that has you barking like Stalin was at the door with an axe, you might want to get up off you damn dog bed to do it. Seriously, yo. Do you not see how you're undermining your own case?

She does indeed, but she's taking a nap so her phone will be off until 7pm PST.

She got her seventeenth needle stick this afternoon, the second steroid shot. "It burns! It burns!" But I think they're done poking her for a while.

In a small bit of bureaucratic good news, I contested an EDD edict that I had not properly registered my resume online and was to be docked three weeks of unemployment. Saw the judge on Wednesday, he thought my excuses were meritorious and those three weeks ($675) are restored to me. Huzzah.

She's still passing some blood, but it's very little. Maybe a teaspoon every three hours? I think that's why they postponed the release until Monday. They want to see it completely stopped for 24 hours first.

Hec, I'm glad she's doing better. msbelle and I were gonna call, but I see her phone's off, so we will either try later or tomorrow. Poor bored JZ!

msbelle is here with me, and we have gotten SO much done today. My kitchen and dining room are completely settled, all my books are shelved, and almost all the pictures are hung. So exciting!

Now I think I need a snack of fruit.
