Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My neighbors, with whom I have exchanged about 200 words in 15 years, just came over to warn me about a boil water advisory. I looked online, and sure enough, there was a massive water line break north of here and we're on a boil water advisory for the foreseeable future.

Gah.

I have bottled water, but I guess you don't really want to bathe or wash dishes in it either.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Hooray for nearly-finished chemo, Jen!

Raq, those designs are stunning. So beautiful.

ION, I escaped the clutches of the overly panicky parent and the whinybutt doctor and got released from jury duty after just an hour. I have been celebrating by doing dishes and then consuming half a bag of Barbara's Cheese Bakes.

Hey. New board.

All the Labyrinth fans in here should be thrilled to know that I'm using a clip in my Very First Math Lesson with my new students.

It's not really a full-fledged lesson, just a 15 minute problem solving activity to give them a taste of math class, with me, in a performing arts school. I'm using the clip where Sarah has to figure out what to ask the guards (one truth-teller, one liar) to avoid Certain Death. Sadly, this is a Bowie-less scene, but it does set up a problem-solving activity rather better than any of his.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Aw, hell. All this Labyrinth talk has made me need to see it again.

In my formative teen years, Bowie in Labyrinth and Tim Curry in RHPS influenced me more than Jesus. Maybe that old preacher was right: I'm a heathen by nature and there's no hope for me.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yay Emily!

It was UPS with my new Vornado fan, which is good, but for a moment I thought "EMILY!", and that would have been better.
And now you have *both*! Do you love the fan? I am obviously Vornado's bitch.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

All this Labyrinth talk has made me need to see it again.

Yet again, I am Zenkitty. Love the Bowie, love the Henson.

What is even happening?

YAY Emily!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw the Vornado fans at Linens N' Things, yesterday. I almost picked one up, but couldn't remember if that's the fan about which everyone was raving. I have a similar fan that's quite a few years old from t memfault so I was pretty sure I'd like it. I should have just bought it.
