Are you making out with the people? You should. I'm just sayin'.
That's good. I mostly re-hearted you because during the drive back, I had some good discussion with a friend that I think I need to post about, and I know that you, specifically, will appreciate it because it's about how Buffy changed the way I watch television and the way Internet fandom affects one's viewing experience and a whole complicated mess of thoughts in that vein.
Yesterday, I was looking on YouTube for something and came across a Buffy vid, by accident, and it made me think about how hard I fell. I never expected a TV show to have any influence on the course of my life, other than a laugh, a cry, etc.
This all sounds a little too too, but I know people here know what I mean. Buffy did change the way I watch TV, and the way I view and use the internet. It changed the way I write. It changed the way I speak. It brought people into my life I never would have known about. I don't think it changed any of my core values, but I think it made me pay attention to things that might have otherwise passed unnoticed, and helped me to pay attention to the way that I think (both about fiction, and about reality).
