Woke up, went to the bathroom, made a pot of coffee, and walked the dog. Got back, went to pour the cup of coffee and realized I made a whole pot. Don't need a whole pot anymore. Silly Val.

This is gonna take some getting used to.

Talked to Emily at around 10 last night before I crashed. She was 10 minutes from Buffalo...making good time. She expected to reach her hotel around 1am. She's gonna to call before she heads out on the road today. Fortunately, she only has about a four-hour drive today, then she'll hang with some family and friends, which will be good and relaxing for her, I hope.

She called many times yesterday to tell me how cute her cat is and all the things that Bastet is exploring in the car. Sounds like Bastet is having a blast, which is really good. We were worried about that.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Jean Simmons is my favorite, Hec! That picture is printed out--I even think my hair has enough body to pull that out. If not, I'll go with a modified, spikey pixie.

wv, send extra coffee my way this morning, please. I need it.

I got shirty with Christopher this morning. The kids both got up at the same time and I was all gronk--no caffeine at all. So I got them settled down and tried to make a big breakfast (biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon) while Owen proceeded to remove every item out of the refrigerator door and Olivia played in the bouncy seat.

I got C up when I was finished to eat. He asked me what time we got up and said 8 (since I hadn't bothered to look at the clock). He corrected me with, "That can't be. We were both still in bed at 8." I deferred.

But then he asked me if I had changed Olivia. I said, "When I got her up." Then he asked what time was that. Um, we'd already established that I didn't know what time we got up! What does it matter? She'd been changed fairly recently.

I don't know why I get so sensitive when he corrects me like that on little things. But it seems I get fairly annoyed by it.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Someday I will stop argueing with DH about little things like that ,Cashmere. However, that would make me perfect.

the little airconditioner makes one tiny part of the house bareable. I am sure I am going to have a major guilt attack when I see the pg and E bill . but I think it will keep me from killing anyone. Tonight - sleeping on the dinning romm table! ( ok - in reality , I will be moving the table- but sleep there we will . I am going to kill someone if I don't sleep. and I suspect it will be an innocent bystander)

Cashmere does not suck. I decree it.

I am starving. Going to brunch with the parentals, so I don't want to eat anything. But, in the meantime, I'm sitting here very hungry.

Our wings are not tired.

I got shirty with Christopher this morning.

Aww. We all do it sometimes. He clearly still loves you. As he should, because you do not suck.

Have a bit of juice to keep from starving vw. Even water will hold you off for a little while. And enjoy brunch.

Mmm, caffeine sounds like a NICE plan....I went to my friend's surprise birthday party last night (and it was a surprise! And then she felt really bad about being bitchy to her gf all week for not doing anything for her birthday). And this morning rolled out of bed and metroed and walked to my friend's new landlord, to get her keys, so she can move in when she gets here, as the landlord will be on vacation. It's not that hot outside, but somehow I am nasty sweaty. ICK. In a bit, I'm picking up birthdayfriend so we can go shopping. But we may have to make a coffee stop, yes...

And, honestly, it's so much easier to sleep with a guy before you know each other than after.

sadly, I really do get that. Though I'm not sure that the hour, vs the "after you've met her twice for like, an hour each time" really makes a difference in the scheme of things, I suppose...it just FEELS longer, when there's a month between meetings. Even if you don't actually know each other better.
