What happened next?
I have two ideas.
I'll go with, the dragonflies ate the butterflies. The other option is, the dragonflies promptly fell to the ground/floor, dead, because they suffocated in the boxes or couldn't handle the climate.
(Edit to remove white font because others got to my first idea first.)
Impressive for someone who's not even bt!
My friend said, "The dragonflies thought it was Christmas morning, and the butterflies thought it was the Slaughter of the Innocents. And the humans were screaming and crying."
Tom and I have gotten my almost-4-year old nephew's birthday present together! My sister says "he's into bugs." So we got him this:

and this: [link]
And a couple books about bugs: I'm A Pill Bug! and the Icky Bug Alphabet Book.
Though, the slacker dude at the MIT Coop cracked me up when I explained to him what I wanted: "Have you considered just sending him a big box of bugs?"
Tom braved Toys R Us for the habitat. Brave man.
Anyway, I'm excited. He's at an age where cool stuff is not wasted on him!
HA for the unintentional bug related post!!!!!
Get him some butterflies! And dragonflies! It'll be fun *and* educational. And may possibly save him from a wedding disaster in the future.
I'm A Pill Bug!
Why do I call them potato bugs?
Well, and cat toys. But I know why I do that.
Long day. The funeral was predictably very sad. She was such a wonderful woman, it was difficult to say good-bye to her. Her nephew gave a beautiful eulogy.
The good part of the day was taking a long nap at my mother's air conditioned house before coming home. Bed soon; my landlord is coming way too early tomorrow morning with someone who is going to try to figure out where the roof is leaking.
We called them potato bugs. Though I can't imagine why.
