I dunno -- she's just all blonde and sunshine-y, not dark and goth and sexy in that mysterious might-be-deadly way.

Blondes can be wicked and alluring.

I confess, I expected your linked pictures to be of Fay. Or some other hot Buffista blonde. Like erika, or juliana in her blonde days.

Her mental struggles have led her to making errors which have limited her playing time. She is not sure if she wants to play softball in college or even at a competative level after this season is over. She is a teenager who does not have all the answers and is struggling to balance investing in herself and spending time doing teenagery things.

He wants her to get a softball scholarship. He wants her to have a burning passion for softball.

When she is not frustrated, she likes the game. Right now she is so frustrated that she has forgotten that.

Shoot, even if/when she rediscovers the fun in it, I don't see her getting a full ride type scholarship. She is good, but she is not "OMG". A smaller school might be interested in her if she wanted to push for that, but it would be up to her.

I'm just trying to help her finish the commitment she has made to her team. It would be financially fantastic for her to quit and I'd have so much time back - but I think it would be the worst thing for her. Plus she hasn't asked about quiting - just not playing fall ball. She says she still wants to play high school ball next year.

He sees life as black and white - all or nothing.

Gah, I've babbled enough. Must find food.

Tep should include herself in that list, IJS.

I don't know what to say about that. I don't understand how come your DH is so invested in the softball.

I loved both Gud and Teppy's pictures. Gud, she really does look so relaxed and natural, which is so unusual for a beginner. I wish I had a million dollars to throw your way so she could have her own pony and lessons and everything. Alas.

Steph's pictures were pretty cool. It looked like much fun was had.

I think we might do some riding lessons eventually, but there has been too much spending (swimming lessons, horse camp, the simple-set pool, and especially the garden) already and our finances are still recovering from a difficult fall and winter.

OTOH, the IRS sent a letter saying we owed another $7,000 in taxes. After going though the process, we ended up with an extra refund of $174 instead.

You're sweet. I should have included YOU in that list, damn my brain!

I get that I'm pretty (or can be), but it's a total Sandra Dee, girl-next-door, girl scout cookie type of pretty. I will never be all darkly sexy and dangerous. One thing I ain't got is smoulder. Got lots of sunshine-y wholesomeness, but not one drop of smoulder.

Always Anti-fascist!

Damn, Tep. You made me blush now. Stupid internets has got me thinking about the Tommy/Janet angry fuck on Rescue Me again. Am I being too forgiving because I like Leary and don't want to see him as a perpetrator or rapist? Or are the critics being too black and white?
