Yay JenP! I hope your superpowers involve flight! (If you'd like that sort of thing, that is. Invulnerability's also fun!)
This weekend I'm heading to Kernersville so I can help my folks a bit and take Dad out for a Father's Day lunch.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Grrr. Hate banks.
Hungry NOW. Want food.
YAY CJ! and YAY no more radiation for Jen!
I think I'm bogarting all the fantabulousness for the day. Last night I saw Cars -- everyone should see Cars -- Pixar out did themselves. Today I was taken to lunch, it stretched out several hours, I'm leaving early to go to the DMV and finally get my replacement driver's license, which I need since I'm going out to the bars and seeing a Pirate Band. Alaskan Pete and his Salty Seamen. I will also be "waltzing" for the first time, the main drag of bars is Tennessee St and it's a tradition on birthdays (esp 21st) for people to do the Tennessee Waltz and get free drinks. However, I will be drinking responsibly and giving most of the drinks to the people.
I'm thinking about wearing one of my tiaras in celebration for my birthday.
Happy b'day Askye!
Bless Spaulding Grey's tortured heart. I saw him perform a bunch of times and would love to go to the tribute performances. Clap a little extra for me Robin.
ND and I are going to see Cars at the El Capitan tonight! I'm so glad to hear it's worth the money.
Happy birthday, askye! I say if you're going to be waltzing and getting free drinks, you definitely need the tiara.
It's from a memoir by a woman whose mom practically supported the family winning contests for housewives...Julianne Moore is probably gonna come apart in it.(I mock cause it's on my list too.) But she has been crying for work lots lately.
Crying and/or a complete breakdown is pretty much a requirement in a Julianne Moore flick, I suppose. Or maybe it just seems that way. Still, looking forward to watching it.
I re-activated my Netflix membership this week on a whim due to the people I'm always bumming movies off of not really being into documentaries or sci-fi stuff. I'm now realizing that I should've waited until August since I'm going to be too busy for a while to watch much of anything. Stupid me.
Aimee, maybe this is fates way of saying, "Get the hell out of there!" Maybe?
Weekend plans include finding a pretty summer dress, but since I hates shopping I truly do wish someone would do it for me. It needs to be cotton and have sleeves and hopefully pockets too, since I always want a place to put my hands.
If you wanted to wander up to Berkeley and check out 4th Street, April Cornell, Harper Greer, or CP Shades might have what you're looking for.
There is also (or anyhow used to be) one other place on 4th, a block or so past the main chichi shopping strip, that carries lots of cotton, linen, and floaty rayon crepe dresses at near-wholesale prices, including stuff with both sleeves and pockets, but I'm memfaulting on the name. If Sunday weren't Father's Day I'd happily meet up with you and go a-lookin'.
It is totally worth the money. I laughed so hard, plus stay through the credits. The short before it, One Man Band is also fantastic. It's one of those movies where there's plenty of stuff for kids to love plus a ton of little touches and references to please adults.
