Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

Yes. OBVIOUSLY. Let's vote for that, because as the ~ma around here proves again and again, focused intention is MIGHTY.

InmemememN: Follow up on my Beep Me. Freakin' hippies ...and I say that with ALL love and affection as I is one.

The group I sent the $ to, who is supposed to be here tomorrow to help with our food service, called to say that the money order was 'slipped under a door we never use...dewd.' ::headdeskheaddeskheaddesk::

So the money order is found. Unusable of course...but found. Can I have that 5 hours of lost sleep back? Thnxkbye.

And the "Director" of the park administration, waaaay over the head of the manager where the reunion is taking place, assures me that my concerns will be addressed. The 'permanent residents' are basically a group of people who squat in the park and 'help out' in exchange for not paying rent. Again...never mentioned to me before. But they will be moved out of my people's way.

aaaaggggghhhh. NO. MORE. PROBLEMS! please?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

interesting... I asked som equestions on my neighborhood egroup about the magazine sales people that stopped by yesterday. Glad I did -- I think I reminded people that not everyone that comes to your door is legit. No clue about this group, but I am positive they weren't wholey honest either.

What is even happening?

::runs away to bake Emergency Cake for Cindy::

There was cake at Ben's Moving On ceremony, the other day. I had a piece. I wanted a second piece, but decided that might be unseemly. I thought, "What Would Amy Do?" and ate it with gusto.

Sail, I can't remember if I'm commented on your fire-at-work. I'm glad you weren't there when it happened, and that your area came out okay.

Trudy, good news on Dallas! When do you expect the biopsy results?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm not sure when we hear from the path lab. Early next week?

Because books.

I thought, "What Would Amy Do?" and ate it with gusto.

Bwah! Also, how true. I like to cruise the dessert table at any occasion several times. "Oh, there's cake?" I say innocently (hoping all crumbs from the previous piece have been wiped away...)

NO. MORE. PROBLEMS! please?

All kinds of ~ma, Beej!

Happy birthday Epic!

Happy anniversary Andi and Daniel!

I'm so glad the surgery went well, Trudy, and hope that it's not too difficult paying for it. Windfall ~ma to you!

Because books.

Frosted Flakes:

My mom just emailed. She's an interim lay minister at their church (she's not ordained, but she's filling in with pastoral care, etc., while they look for a replacement for the minister who retired). She had to visit a 91-year-old member's home today, and he had passed away in the garden. She had to tell his wife, who went out and put his hat on his head because he "always wore it".

Can't imagine having to do that. I'm still not sure if that's *why* Mom went over, or if it was just chance, but wow. I love my mom.

Thanks. I'm very good at worrying about money so I don't worry about cancer. Its a morbid little gift.
