Frosted Flakes:
My mom just emailed. She's an interim lay minister at their church (she's not ordained, but she's filling in with pastoral care, etc., while they look for a replacement for the minister who retired). She had to visit a 91-year-old member's home today, and he had passed away in the garden. She had to tell his wife, who went out and put his hat on his head because he "always wore it".
Can't imagine having to do that. I'm still not sure if that's *why* Mom went over, or if it was just chance, but wow. I love my mom.
Thanks. I'm very good at worrying about money so I don't worry about cancer. Its a morbid little gift.
I'm so glad Dallas is okay!
Oh Amy, that's so sad. I'm so glad your Mother was with her.
Wow, Amy. That must have been difficult. How good for the man's wife, that your mom was there.
Three of the co-workers that I actually care about just took me to lunch. Wish I could take them with me.
Would the new place be interested in hiring them? sometimes you get a little payment for suggesting someone who's hired ....
The new place is very tiny. Maybe 6 people in the office and really no place for them. But I wish.
Yay Dallas. And hope your friends find new jobs like you did soon.
I am so mad at myself right now for letting myself get so out of shape. Going up and down one flight of stairs should not leave me so exhausted that I need a nap.
