I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm not sure when we hear from the path lab. Early next week?

Because books.

I thought, "What Would Amy Do?" and ate it with gusto.

Bwah! Also, how true. I like to cruise the dessert table at any occasion several times. "Oh, there's cake?" I say innocently (hoping all crumbs from the previous piece have been wiped away...)

NO. MORE. PROBLEMS! please?

All kinds of ~ma, Beej!

Happy birthday Epic!

Happy anniversary Andi and Daniel!

I'm so glad the surgery went well, Trudy, and hope that it's not too difficult paying for it. Windfall ~ma to you!

Because books.

Frosted Flakes:

My mom just emailed. She's an interim lay minister at their church (she's not ordained, but she's filling in with pastoral care, etc., while they look for a replacement for the minister who retired). She had to visit a 91-year-old member's home today, and he had passed away in the garden. She had to tell his wife, who went out and put his hat on his head because he "always wore it".

Can't imagine having to do that. I'm still not sure if that's *why* Mom went over, or if it was just chance, but wow. I love my mom.

What is even happening?

Wow, Amy. That must have been difficult. How good for the man's wife, that your mom was there.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Three of the co-workers that I actually care about just took me to lunch. Wish I could take them with me.
