Today, we were trying to run cable from the back of the house, to the grid over the stage. It would have been too much trouble to disassemble the scaffold from its position in the house, and reassemble it closer to the grid, so we ran the cable part way, and then were supposed to throw a rope over the next pipe, tie it to the cables, and then pull the cables the rest of the way.
The only problem was that the space I was trying to throw the rope through was only about a foot square, bounded on the top by things we did NOT want to run the cables over, and I was trying to throw the rope through that space from at least ten feet away, maybe a little more.
After many, many failed attempts, the TD was getting slightly impatient, but didn't have any better ideas on how to do it.
I told him to give me one last try. I closed my eyes, slowed my breathing, calmed myself, and visualized in my head swinging the rope, letting go, and allowing the rope to fly right threw the hole.
Then, with my eyes still closed, I swung the rope a few times, let go, and opened my eyes just in time to see the rope fly precisely through the middle of the target.
I am the zen master.

Am so very tired. I was the first staff person to leave this work event tonight, but I decided I get a pass because it's only my second day. The best part was, the event took place like 2/3 of the way between the office and my house.
