Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys are MAD virtuous! I'm all indolent over here.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Me too Jesse!

So far today, I have made coffee.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Christ on a stick. Had a little bit of a scare this morning. It's beastly hot out, even at 7 when I took the dog out. With her husky coat and her rottie susceptibility to heat, the dog was drooping hardcore by the time we got back. To find both elevators out of service.

Made it up the first few flights okay, but after that we had to stop about every half flight for her to rest. She was panting so hard and balking so much at each start that I was really kind of freaking out by the time we got up. (I'm on the eighth floor.) Then she only took a little sip of water when we got in which had me even more worried. I ended up pouring her entire water bowl on her and and rubbing it into her fur, but I didn't really know what else to do. Seems okay now, though, so I guess she's allright. She's not going out again until after sundown, that's for sure.

yeah nsm working anymore, I mean I am still working, but the stuff I need to get done is no longer working.

my day:

fix what was causing error yesterday (not in my area of the project, btw - PREEN)
run application again - SUCCEED! YAY!
find error (not mine again, PREEN)
fix error - run again
find bigger but different error (not mine AGAIN, but one I should have caught sooner)
fix error - try to run again - app fails
fix what caused failure - try to run again - wait.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

My hot story is trying to garden at 8am, and running out of steam at 10-ish. Actually it wasn't the hot so much as the weeks of neglect, so all the creepers conspired and assaulted me I'm covered with little red lines like I've been whipped by the world's smallest dominatrix.

Art Crawl!!!

Here I am! On the board, at home!

Because I ordered a new computer and it got to me at least a week before it was expected.

I would have been online last night except that once I got all set up, I realized that I'd completely forgotten the dial-up number and it was too late to try university information.

The firewall is still downloading but I needed to see everyone.

David your Friday night viewing plan sounds like it was excellent. I am still home on Fridays and got to watch most of a Nightstalker marathon (it was the original one). There was a Satanically possessed politician, one with werewolves, a vampire one, a UFO, Zombies and Jack the Ripper. Fun. I love how the orginial Nightstalker has people with faces full of character rather than just pretty people. All in preparation for the premiere on Scifi of the remake. I also watched the pilot of Dead Like Me which had the effect of making me miss Wonderfalls. Also, who knew it was Steve Bacic night on Cable? He was on Whistler AND on Psyche. He appears to be recurring on Whistler.

Also, Paula Deen has the Carters on her show again.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Oh, Brenda, that is scary. Cool-ma to you and your girl. Does she sleep behind the toilet when it gets hot? Mac always does that.

I thought the worst of the heat was over but it looks like we're going to remain in the 90's with high humidity this week. Payday comes Wednesday and Mac is lined up for a trip to the groomers. Looks be damned, she's getting shaved. Although I'm not 100% certain of her breeding, she's definitely got some sort of cold-weather dog, since she prefers the snow and has a very thick undercoat. I don't dare let her stay out too long in the heat (even though we're not really active).

Yeah, that's Lucy all right. She's in the bathroom sleeping on the tile now. The good thing with her is that she really won't push it in the heat - once it hits 70, she walks down the street like she's a hundred, and nothing short of a bunny rabbit will speed her up. But this elevator thing threw a wrench into the works.

Stoopid elevator. There's no time-travelling English Duke staying in your building, is there?

I'm contemplating a nap since my head hurts this morning. Headaches are starting to re-occur but I don't know if it's sinus, stress or that fact that Owen's current favorite game is SLAM THE DOORS REALLY LOUDLY.
