Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

If you were having that evening of enterainment, which episodes would you choose?

BtVS: Restless AtS: Loyalty or Release. Hard to say. They're kind of tied for most-watched episode. Or maybe 5x5. Fuck. Don't make me pick, just give me an hour of clips of Wesley being tortured in entertaining ways and call it good. Firefly: Objects in Space Wonderfalls: Crime Dog

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Where is Theodosia? I mean, this is silly -- she's really supposed to be the first morning post from the east coast.

Yay Friday. Although I have a feeling I will not be able to take full advantage of Summer Hours today. Stupid work.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I've started in on Deadwood. Almost through the second disc (S1E04). Took some getting into the rhythm, but I quite like it. Not sure why it didn't work out the first time round.

I'd definitely agree it has a rhythm that takes a little getting used to. I only saw random eps from the first two seasons, but they were enough so that starting regular viewing with 3, I had adjusted to the rhythm already.

Our wings are not tired.

Wake up Theodosia! I slept in because it is raining and I love to sleep in when it rains. Ahhhh. Up now, but no noise in the house to disturb the sound of gentle raindrops.

Please to provide a viewing report, Hec.

Lots of power outtages here from stroms last night, but I remain empowered and glad about that, though I think there are traffic lights out in between me and where I need to be this morning. I should get going. Good days, all.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyone want a lightly-used cranium? Never been concussed, few scars, minimal sun damage.

I'd forgotten how I hate sinus crap. Only symptom? Pain. I need to go buy more sudafed.

Ms. Kat, you need to know I am always late. Just keep that in mind.

Okay, darling. It's in my mind!

JenP, I have been pretty absent as I got a little out of hand busy: teaching full time, teaching 2 courses at UCLA, taking grad classes, writing, and writing lessons for scholastic (which I have one due today. DOH!) Plus I was tired of reading myself and limited most of my online time to LJ. But it's nice to be around a bit.

you wear a smaller size than I do and you are shorter than me. I know you do not always like facts, but there they are. If you insist that I am tiny, then you are TINIER!

except, msbelle, for this. I still don't 100% fit into the clothes you sent. I'm still a thicker build, though smaller size (go figure). And unlike you, according to BMI, I'm still overweight. SO THERE. AM NOT TINY! Though I like when you shake your wee fists of rage.

OH! David! YES on the sonnets and how interesting Greenblatt's interpretation is.

I had never read the sonnets all in one fell swoop - I've read many of them piecemeal. I know that the sonnets were most likely arranged by the editor, but the fact that there is a narrative arc is cool!

Also, please to entertain me, as msbelle said upthread.
