Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

At first, I thought "by the second it was actually not that bad," meant by the second glass, and I thought, "Well, yeah."

Whoops! I guess you figured out I meant the second day. This was just cheap wine, cut-up fruit, some orange juice or something...

Yes, but the real "Big Lie" for the current thugs in office is the "Iraq caused 911" meme they've been peddling for years. At least Saddam had a history of attempting to acquire WMDs.

The same poll, indicated that about two-thirds of Americans think that Iraq had substantial ties with Al-Qaeda. It's sort of depressing.

The kids have been wanting tacos a lot, lately, and I thougth dh and I might enjoy a little Sangria with it.

I wish I could get my kids to like tacos or spagetti or both. How can kids not like tacos or spagetti?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Full name will be Matilda Azalea Smay.

Middle name from my grandmother Prudence Azalea. Spelled like the flower, but pronounced "aza-lee."

I really liked Azalea Solomon Smay (middle name from JZ's maternal side), but then realized that the initals were a no-go.

We also liked JZ's grandmother's name, Memorie. But Azalea Memorie was too rhymey.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Azalea sounds lovely in either position. As a name and as a flower.

Thanks, Fred! I've told some stories here about Prudence Azalea (my mom's birth, my grandmother's death) and she was such an amazing woman. I really wanted to honor her.

Compassionately intolerant

At least Saddam had a history of attempting to acquire WMDs.

And how weird is it that the 'biggest bad of the 21st century' gets practically no play in the media now that he's just a sad old man on a hunger strike?

Funny how vanquishing evil didn't get the results we were promised.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If so, do you think it could be a go without the Triple Sec?

I haven't, because it just aired a few weeks ago. I think the Triple Sec (or any kind of citrus-flavored liquor) is necessary to make it not just watered-down wine. But you could probably do without.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Happy birthday, vw!!!

The more I see Matilda Smay, the more I like the name. Don't get too attached to it though. All four of my cousin's boys were supposed to be girls according to multiple ultrasounds. Still, it sounds like you're set, because Wyatt is a cool name too.

And now for something completely different (from the rest of this post). Slate has a chart on who likes and hates whom in the Middle East: [link]

Our wings are not tired.

Absolutely lovely.
