This isn't a come-on. I'm in a very serious relationship with a landscape architect.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I wish I could recall the Chicago museum my dad adores ( he grew up in Rockford, and should anyone see the moon model at the science museum there, my dad and his friend Eric made that when they were teenagers.)

Would that be the Museum of Science and Industry? I love that place, too! Being the girl that I am, my favorite exhibit is Colleen Moore's Fairy Castle, the massive dollhouse donated by the silent film actress. But the coal mine and the German U-boat (which has a new home now) are both really cool, as is the Apollo 8 command module and LEM trainer.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

It feels like it's actually gotten hotter since the sun went down.

Why?

the stoopid windgods are mocking us.

I even tried mocking them to no avail

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I need baby bumpers or something. Or, perhaps, to be more careful, but that doesn't seem to be my way.
Right there with you. t shakes head sadly

but fivish-days later bruises are really whacky.
I got those after a spectacularly embarassing trip and fall recently. Didn't really even hurt. No marks. And then a week later? Two bruises that are only now fading. Bodies are freaky.

It feels like it's actually gotten hotter since the sun went down. Why?
A failure to sacrifice to the weather god? It is starting to cool off here. Finally. At 10 at night.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Time for a Deadwood roundtable at High Hat, Corwood.

Wait for your second kid.

This is my second kid! Her name is going to be Matilda, incidentally. A fact which will no doubt cause great rejoicing in Australia. There may be waltzing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I made it out of the house! I skipped most of the training I'd have done at krav, and also much of the teaching, but I made it out of the house. Which was sorely needed. There were people, and everything.

Fuck, it's hot out there. No matter how hot and muggy the training rooms got, outside was more oppressive. Instead of opening the doors to let the air in, it was more effective to keep them closed and let the AC do what it could. First time in four years I've seen that, especially in the evenings.

Got a magic-fingered kravver to work my shoulder over. It was kinda numb when he was done, but it feels much improved over recent normal now. Need to slap a lidocaine patch on it before it's all lost.

Matilda Zmayhem! How pretty.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

This is my second kid! Her name is going to be Matilda, incidentally. A fact which will no doubt cause great rejoicing in Australia. There may be waltzing.

We shall no doubt get right on that, after riding our kangaroos to our work of sheep-mustering and croc-wrestling.

What? You don't cook shrimp on the barbecue? Slacker.

I made it out of the house!

Woot!

::does the cabbage-patch in celebration::

Oh wait. I was going to share this link.

I need some Wray and Nephew Pimento Liqueur. Next time one of your many cousins is visiting...

Swouncing

Skipping lots (sigh) and poking head to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is vw bug's birthday. Happy birthday, vw! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Ms. Bug!!!
