Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I made it out of the house! I skipped most of the training I'd have done at krav, and also much of the teaching, but I made it out of the house. Which was sorely needed. There were people, and everything.

Fuck, it's hot out there. No matter how hot and muggy the training rooms got, outside was more oppressive. Instead of opening the doors to let the air in, it was more effective to keep them closed and let the AC do what it could. First time in four years I've seen that, especially in the evenings.

Got a magic-fingered kravver to work my shoulder over. It was kinda numb when he was done, but it feels much improved over recent normal now. Need to slap a lidocaine patch on it before it's all lost.

Matilda Zmayhem! How pretty.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

This is my second kid! Her name is going to be Matilda, incidentally. A fact which will no doubt cause great rejoicing in Australia. There may be waltzing.

We shall no doubt get right on that, after riding our kangaroos to our work of sheep-mustering and croc-wrestling.

What? You don't cook shrimp on the barbecue? Slacker.

I made it out of the house!

Woot!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Ms. Bug!!!

Mostly lurking...

Thanks, everyone! Hi, Nilly!

I'm very excited for today. I was even up early. Mom and Dad called at about 6:30am, and I was already awake. I'm 30, and I almost can't believe that.

Seeing most of the family tonight (my little brother is flying in early for our family vacation so he can hang with me on my birthday). We're going to dinner and a play in Beverly, MA. Should be much fun. I have a new outfit and am gonna get a manicure later. Now I just have to decide which shoes I'll wear. I'll be all pretty.

Emily update: I haven't heard from her this morning. Hopefully, she's still sleeping. But, I did hear from her several times yesterday. She's doing great, and so is Bastet.

She had a little break Sunday and Monday with her mom, then headed back on the road yesterday. She took a little detour around the Indiana Dunes to "see stuff." Sounds like she's enjoying herself and doing just fine.

She was all excited, because she got a hotel with free wireless that takes pets all for $40! Yay for the midwest!
