Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I don't know how exiting or exciting that is, but I do think it's kind of cool, and more power to the artist.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Kathy, that article made me laugh. But it also reminded me of TDS line, "funny, but also a little sad."

I want cupcakes!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Representative Phil Gingrey [R-Ga.], said support for traditional marriage “is perhaps the best message we can give to the Middle East and all the trouble they’re having over there right now.”

WTF?!? Like they give a rat's ass about our obsession with sex and who's doing what with what member of the same or opposite gender! I swear, these politicians are NOT living on any planet that I recognize.

"Maybe you people wouldn't want to kill each other if you just focused on hating the gays! No need to hate the people in the next country over -- there are gays right where you are already!!"

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Did someone declare it National Randomness day, without telling me?

First, I had to stop at the grocery store on my way to work this morning, and the person in front of me started talking to me about flowers, which neither of us were buying.

Second, when I walked into my office this morning, two of the admin assistants were already there. Not to see me, just to talk to each other more privately.

Third, I responded to an attorney's request for the Montana Rules of civil procedure asking for some clarification, which I got. A few minutes later, I also got this back in response to the same email:

if my life takes me to butte i am sure going. no doubter. also shouldn't evel knievel have jumped this toxic pit. i guess there's something even he won't do.
(he thought he was responding to another email.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think the concept is exciting, because it's simple and terribly profitable. I think the pieces of artwork are dull as all hell.

Googling to make sure it wasn't a hoax led me to this blog of uncommon business ideas, which is quite interesting.

libkitty, I totally used to be funnier. Wait, no, that's not what I meant (so shut up if you agree). But I think sampling would indicate not so with any sort of witty when the pain is on.

Like, say, NOW, dammit.

Okay, off to nap.

Well, then. I take it he's not happy with work/city?

Totally. And all the numbers I'd want are gone.

Um, Lee, toxic pit? Oh dear.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think he was referring to Butte's Berkeley Pit [link] which luckily I had heard of, and the (unrelated) fact that he might have to go to Butte for a case, which I knew.

Still weird though.

Always Anti-fascist!

Why the Inner Harbor makes me think of shootings: Because of an incredibly(some might say manipulatively, including me) heartrending H:LOTS where a kid stops somewhere to look at some dinosaur stuff and gets shot while the shooter is aiming at some other teenager his gf is cheating with. The kid dies(but unusually for Homicide, not right away) he's on life-support so we all watch Marcia Gay Harden Cope With Grief and fight with her probably equally notorious and award- baity husband. It's not especially dangerous there(unless tourists give you hives) it's just the first time I ever heard of it so it stuck.
