Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Power outage on train, have to walk mile to work on hottest day of the year. Blech.

Oh, man. That is legion in its suckiness.

Frail my heart apart and play me a little Shady Grove

Good morning!

Allow me to highly recommend the cold shower for hot weather insomnia. I did not do hot water at all. The cold water was such a shock when I doused one side of my body, I actually shivered. So I experimented with the other side and sidled into the stream of water from the foot up. This was less of a shock and I became inured to the cold quickly. After the shower I was all comfortable like, and lay on the couch for just a few minutes and fell asleep. Finally dragged myself upstairs and got up 4 hours later.

Adderal and a double shot of espresso have me surprisingly functional.

ita, I hope you get to feeling at least right-ish.

At least there's a big picture of Colin in my Metro this morning

Hee! I saw him in an ad the other day and thought, "Do I know that guy?"

I'm off for haircut and therapy, excuse the redundancy.

eta: wave to Sophia!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In other news, when did "middle class" start meaning that you were worth $1 million dollars.

Well, the "worth" includes real estate and retirement funds and stuff, but yeah -- that seems like upper middle class at the very least.

Also, Ack, bon bon! Someone here just dragged in with similar issues.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Hi katefate!

I think it is just a symptom of how everyone in America, except the very rich and the destitute THINK that they are middle class. No one wants to go around saying they are lower class, and I think, at least in the working world, no one wants to really be upper class, either...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The Crazy Woman Who I Suspect of Being an AI sent me an e-mail. She doesn't understand why I'm working on a particular document. Didn't her last e-mail tell me to stop working on that document? She encloses a copy of her e-mail to help me.

It doesn't say that AT ALL.

I'm just waiting to see if we get brownouts or rolling blackouts. There's a chance for thunderstorms this afternoon, which ups the possibility.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

W's behavior at the G8 summit is really starting to worry me.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Oh, man. That is legion in its suckiness.

Much like yet another car with broken AC on the commuter rail this morning (the 7:03). Meh. It did make the actual walk to the office feel cool by comparison, but not a way I like to start the day (i.e. dripping in sweat).

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

W's behavior at the G8 summit is really starting to worry me.

That is kind of freaky.

Did you see the Daily show segment on the pig?

I finally fell asleep, and then my alarm clock didn't go off, which was bad for shooting up the cat (but not bad enough to worry about), but good for me.
