Oh, I wish those council guys would let me have an hour alone in the room with her, if I was larger and had grenades.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

This weekend I'm seeing Through a Scanner Darkly, juggling 3 potential hook-ups, and hopefully getting some artwork done for a friend of the family.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Oh, I might come into work for a bit on Sunday, just because they're moving me to a new cubicle on Tuesday morning, and I won't be getting anything done on Monday due to packing. There was a good thing about the day a few months ago when our computers were out for practically the entire day--I got a lot of stuff organized on my desk, so at least the amount of crap I'll have to go through on Monday isn't so bad.

I'm one of the lucky ones with the move; I'm going directly to my new cube. The other three in my group all have to work elsewhere until August 15th, when their new cubicles will be ready for them. One's moving to a temporary cube, my boss will be working at our Northside office, and the third will be working from home.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

if too many people do work on a Friday afternoon, the whole reality-matrix-thingie could implode upon itself.

Punishingly Intricate

This weekend will be my second weekend working at my friends' store on Saturday. It's my first retail job! I'm a shopgirl! Last week went okay, I think, but I'm still a little nervous about it. I'm at Atomic Books in case anybody's in town and wants to come by and say 'hi' between 11 & 6.

Other than that I'm trying to squeeze in running and yoga and housecleaning and the pool. And I have a funeral to go to on Sunday.

Tonight my friend and I were trying to do a Bastille Day thing at a French place but it is sold out. So we're going to tapas. Ptui on the French! Viva la Spanish!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why is it not 3:00 yet?
