You're talking to Serenity. And, Early... Serenity is very unhappy.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Had some interesting weather here yesterday evening. Professional pictures here: [link]

My pictures are not as pretty, but they are here: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Those are really cool pictures, dcp. Both professional and yours.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

What, they don't care about complaints from liberals, but if conservatives complain they gotta do something?

Well, it's like the crossword-lovers complaining about the bridge column. You don't care until the bridge-players complain.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

The shutter-button-to-shutter-action lag on my camera is too long. I have never succeeded in getting any pix of lightning.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

When I moved in May, I was just going to downgrade my Netflix account from 3 to 1, but while I was checking out the website, I stumbled across the hold option, which worked out great for me that first month, since I was broke from the move. I reinstated it at the beginning of June, and have been working my way through the miniseries/first season of Battlestar Galactica (just got Disc 2 of the season last night, so I get to watch the second half of a two-parter tonight--woot!). After that's done, I've got Doctor Who in the queue, then a bunch of movies, including Syriana.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well, it's like the crossword-lovers complaining about the bridge column. You don't care until the bridge-players complain.

Well, that makes sense. You don't want to piss off those bridge players.

How frequent was the lightning? I guess if it's decently frequent, just randomly shooting might work.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Best use of The Grateful Dead in pop culture ever.

Not to mention Styx. Though I will grant that quoting "Mr. Roboto" at key moments has excellent comic effect.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

You don't want to piss off those bridge players.

We can be mean when riled up.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Hmm. I tried the cancel option on Netflix, and it seemed like I got to the point of no return without them offering me a hold. And I didn't want to accidentally cancel my account. But knowing it's there somewhere is good.
