I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Cute babies!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You know, I used to look at pictures of babies and think "Yeah, cute, but yo see one baby you've seen them all". But the mopre newborns I've seen, the more I am struck by how individual each one is, even with the characteristics that they all do have in common. Which is to say, that Peter, what a cutie! And the rest of the family.

You make a good point, Corwood, Alma has been awful to Ellsworth, but I thought they'd had some genuine tender moments as well (not porn, just nice little human moments). I had forgotten about his wife and child, that makes the whole thing make a lot more sense.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

My favorite Ellsworth quote, something I wish I could have crocheted onto a decorative pillow (and my loving wife tells me she would do if we didn't have the little one to worry about): "I may have fucked up my life flatter than hammered shit, but I stand before you today beholden to no human cocksucker." That's just poetry.

Always Anti-fascist!

Not to be crass, but do they never...to get Alma about it...engage in sexual congress? Not to worry, though, Corwood, I'm filled with Ellsworth love. She could've done so much worse. Bunk, you're right on. I just can't decide if I want you to send all my greeting cards or never send me any. I'm sure you feel me on that. All y'all need to stick around in the fall for "The Wire", those that don't. Because I'm surrounded by hooples that don't appreciate what's good.

White-fonted:His line in the previous episode about being like a schoolboy in matters of love seems to say yes. His freaked-out response to her booty call in the last episode says hell fuckin' no.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

flea, what a little woogie you have there. So wee and yummy. But I am most struck by the photo of Eve. I know that she and Franny are about the same age, but it's striking how similar they are in looks. Eve is blonder, but they both have the narrow face, just starting to shift into little girlhood, and curly hair.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Can we be white-fonting stuff for the current season of Deadwood, please?

Signed, Does not possess the HBO and will either have to wait for DVD or resort to other methods

Her "move" did seem kind of unexpected. It was a different era, though. Maybe he was freaked that she initiated? Although -t's point about the passage of time is important, too. Every show is so jammed it feels longer, you know?

I think not, erika. The marriage was explicitly one of convenience, I'm guessing she would have worried about sex endangering the pregnancy early on, and would probably have been advised against it after the miscarriage (I do not under any circumstances want to know what Doc did while Trixie anesthetised her) and it hasn't been long since then if it's only been six weeks since Hostetler and the General lit out, right? My sense of how tune passes in Deadwood is not well tuned.

Oh, and I absolutely agree about the fineness of Ellsworth's humanity. That's part of why I'm so disappointed in Alma.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Why is it only 3:20?
