I had a whole section about civic pride.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Not to be crass, but do they never...to get Alma about it...engage in sexual congress?

White-fonted:His line in the previous episode about being like a schoolboy in matters of love seems to say yes. His freaked-out response to her booty call in the last episode says hell fuckin' no.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

flea, what a little woogie you have there. So wee and yummy. But I am most struck by the photo of Eve. I know that she and Franny are about the same age, but it's striking how similar they are in looks. Eve is blonder, but they both have the narrow face, just starting to shift into little girlhood, and curly hair.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Can we be white-fonting stuff for the current season of Deadwood, please?

Signed, Does not possess the HBO and will either have to wait for DVD or resort to other methods

Always Anti-fascist!

Her "move" did seem kind of unexpected. It was a different era, though. Maybe he was freaked that she initiated? Although -t's point about the passage of time is important, too. Every show is so jammed it feels longer, you know?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think not, erika. The marriage was explicitly one of convenience, I'm guessing she would have worried about sex endangering the pregnancy early on, and would probably have been advised against it after the miscarriage (I do not under any circumstances want to know what Doc did while Trixie anesthetised her) and it hasn't been long since then if it's only been six weeks since Hostetler and the General lit out, right? My sense of how tune passes in Deadwood is not well tuned.

Oh, and I absolutely agree about the fineness of Ellsworth's humanity. That's part of why I'm so disappointed in Alma.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Why is it only 3:20?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Why is it only 3:20?

And I just had a "OMG, is it really 5:15 already?" moment.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Why is it only 3:20?

If you lived here you'd be home by now...

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Why is it only 3:20?

If you lived here you'd be home by now...

Yeah, but we would have had to get up earlier, too.

Swouncing

Since tomorrow is a fast and then the weekend, I'll post already that, according to the Buffista Calendar, the coming few days are quite eventful: the 13th will be Lysana and her DH's anniversary, the 14th is a double Buffista event, the birthday of both Ouise and Zenkitty, and the 15th will be jengod's birthday. Early wishes to all!

Good rest-of-the-week and great weekends, everybody!
