Well, that was a horrible way to the end the game.

Stoopid athletes with their stoopid tempers.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

For those of us not watching, how did it end, megan (in whitefont, of course)?

It is, in fact, not quite over.

Cereal to explain:

I'm mad that Zidane got a totally deserved red card in the final minutes and got kicked out of his final game before retirement.

It's a helluva thing. That's all that's gonna be associated with his name, now.

He's done it before. He got kicked out a game in '98 for stomping on a player. It's a shame though--he's such a brilliant player.

The evil is this way?

I'm mad that Zidane got a totally deserved red card in the final minutes and got kicked out of his final game before retirement.

What did he do? Did it impact the outcome?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Not to skeeve you any more, Jesse, but keeping a toddler from drinking bath water is one of the most difficult things in the world to do. Really. And yeah, gross as hell, but they just don't have the concept down yet.

Oh yeah. And I guess in the larger scheme of things, it's among the less-gross things that little kids might do, but still. Luckily, I'm sure I'll have forgotten all about this by the time I have a kid!

I bought all new stuff for my bed today, yay! But I want to wash them before I put them on the bed, and I REALLY don't feel like doing that right now, boo.

What did he do? Did it impact the outcome?

He was in a scuffle with an Italian player, when he turned to run back to the action, the guy apparently said something that made him turn back and give him a head butt in the chest. The main ref didn't see it because it was off play (we only saw it on replay), but the side ref confirmed it.

It's hard to say what would have happened had he stayed. Whitefont: Because only one French player missed his penalty kick. One might assume that Zidane would have made his. Poor Trezeguet.

The red card was for head-butting a guy in the chest. Not during play. Totally flattened him. Italy didn't score while France was a man down, so I lean toward saying it didn't affect the outcome, though You could argue that Zidane would have made his penalty kick, I suppose.
