What is even happening?

Good for you, sara. I can't believe...well, no, I can believe. I am so angry on your behalf.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

At least the plumber came as promised today, and evidently did fix all the things he was supposed to fix -- here's hoping it all works properly!

Who was it here that misplaced their their rightful thunderstorms? Somerville seems to be getting some in short order. I'm out on the patio enjoying the wild wind and warm (84) but not humid temperature, and revelling in a comfortably safe way.

And if the damn cat runs outside through my legs again when I go back in the house, he's going to have to stay out through the thunderboomer, as is only right.

Huh, just checked the weather radar map at Weather Underground, which shows major lightning strikes, and the NYC area looks like it's under serious bombardment!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Weird -- I haven't heard any thunder at all!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm going to give some quiet thanks for all the wonderful, cool-as-hell and objective teachers I had from k-12*. Even when I started expressing my opinions early (hard to believe, right?) and these opinions differed from my teachers' they taught me to reason and debate issues with respect.

  • with the exception of the sexist twit who taught my advanced algebra class who thought that girls were no good at math and tended to favor the boys. But, hey, screw him. I know lots of women actuaries now that could run circles around his tiny pea-sized brain.

Always Anti-fascist!

"Yemen" still makes me laugh really hard because of Chandler Bing. Gee, what did the Osmond daughters post? Was it really raunchy, or raunchy-for-Osmonds? Because I have a boring life but I suspect it's still RFO. We have to fight the Dominionists, imo.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Yeah. And it smells gross outside, too, not good.

I still haven't installed the a/c in my apartment. So hot.
