What is even happening?

I read it wrong. On reread, the bit I quoted seems to be talking about the seats themselves, which is still sort of weird that they'd bother to heat them, but not cool them. I did think it was talking about the drinks holders when I posted it, and couldn't figure out when kids would ever need drinks heated. Most kids I know even like their hot drinks luke warm.

I just read a Rock Star Spoiler for tonight's show:

One of the "bottom three" sings Planet Earth for their song.

Hee.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

which is still sort of weird that they'd bother to heat them, but not cool them.

Cooled seats sounds hard to do, to me.

I wonder how much the magic cupholders add to the MPG.

Yeah, imagine if a coolant line burst from plopping down too enthusiastically (ok I kept typoing that enthusiasstically. Snort. ) Very messy.

I'm getting on a plane in little over 48 hours. Stuff still left to do and I'm starting the pre-travel-calm-the-fuck-down battle.

Last week Nora 'updated my file' to allow it, so I will note that Saab has offered cooled seats for several years. I don't imagine that they are a very popular option in Sweden.

Agreed. The piece reads like they do both cool and warm the front seats, though. Cooled seats sound to me also like they might make me achy. I don't know why.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And all this time we thought him just a merry bay-area hipster...
