I hope Jay-Z doesn't get all bent out of shape over this.
I doubt he'd want to be called "lovely." Just doesn't seem to fit his image somehow.

I'm still wondering what happened to the side mirror on my old car. I was parked at a friend's house nearby, for only an hour or two, but when I came out, the whole assembly --housing and mirror-- had either been wrenched or knocked off. Since we couldn't find it anywhere on the street, sidewalk or underneath nearby cars, my best guess is that it was straightforward theivery. Still, it was broken off to judge from the plastic left behind....
Though, to be fair, I'm pretty sure I was JZ waaaaaaay first, so he's really just a JZ-come-lately anyhow.
Are you still drinking Cristal?
From Feministing:
Our crush of the week is Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, after seeing a recent speech he made at an event for Equality Now. Check it out. So hot.
The speech itself was top-notch. What I think should be the take-home part is,
- "Why do you write these strong female characters?"
-"This is ridiculous... why don't you ask a hundred other guys why they don't?"
or the final answer, "Because you're still asking me this question."
I haven't actually watched the interview yet....
It's not an interview. It's a speech. His central theme is that people keep asking him why he writes strong female characters (dozens of times a day during press tours), and his speech is primarily made up of answers to that question.
It's 8 minutes and five seconds including the titles. You can forward through Streep's intro and save yourself a few seconds, if you want.
It's prime Joss, who I don't really want to love on account of his abandoning me, but he made me love him. He always does.
Yes. Love. And he likes the fans, unlike Fontana, say, who made a big point of saying that it was his show and he'd do whatever he wanted to it. Poor H:LOTS.
