msbelle, I hope you feel better soon.

Also, the reason I skipped to post now: since my browser keeps crashing today for no reason and the last time somebody tried to fix something on this computer, I didn't have internet access for a few days, I'll post already now that according to the Buffista Calendar, tomorrow, the 27th, will be JZ's birthday, and the following day, the 28th, will be a double Buffista birthday, of both DavidS and Deb Grabien (and her DH). I hope I'll be able to happy-birthday directly to their screens, but even if not, early wishes for all of them!

Slate magazine just redesigned, and it kind of sucks. A little nicer to read, but a lot harder to navigate.

Diane Farr was about the best thing about "The Job".(Sorry, Denis, but it's true.)

Art Crawl!!!

I loved her as Maria's mom on Roswell. I mostly enjoyed her on Rescue Me -- I wish she hadn't left so abruptly because I think that the Laura/Franco storyline would have been interesting to watch playout. I mean, look at this season -- would they have been yet another example of relationships spinning out of control -- or would they have been the sole relationship to be stable out of the lot?

Oh, yeah. Loved Laura/ Franco. Still miss her on there.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Rescue Me is getting a bit much with everyone being so freaking socially incapable. I agree with those that suspect Sarandon's trouble--perhaps baby-stealing trouble. I'd like a bit more variety. But Leary's so charismatic, despite what his character may be doing, so I keep watching.

wrod, ita. I don't really like wondering "Is that rape or really angry fucking?"but I think I'm invested now, in any event.

Here is an interview with Peter Tolan and Denis Leary regarding current storylines (and possible upcoming storylines) on Rescue Me.

Jesse,

Thanks for reminding me how much I love clafouti and giving me an idea of what to do with the 2lbs of blueberries I bought this weekend! Of course, my aunts may disown me if they hear of me making clafouti with blueberries, but I think it sounds yum. (This is a family that argues about whether or not you pit the cherries for a "real" clafouti.)
