I hear they don't like to sedate pets for plane trips anymore. But god, poor Norineko. Not that she'd have been thrilled about driving cross-country, either.

Renting a truck for the move is likely to cost between one and three thousand dollars, which gets into the why-bother area.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

What about a minivan? Would your stuff fit in one?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh! I saw the cutest little red and black leather cat carrier today, with skull and crossbones on the side.

Um. Randomly went to look at the Oakland High Website, and found this lovely comment on new nutritional rules in place:

The district would like student to have healthier meals, and snakes during school hours. For students best interest.

Well, snakes are probably better for you than candy bars. As long as you dispose of the venom first, anyway.

Our wings are not tired.

The wait until you get there to buy choice makes more sense to me. Also, a day long plane trip might be less stressful to the cat than a multi day car ride.

Snakes! Woo!

Probably. Man, being sensible is BORING. California better be hella fun to make up for all this unpleasant hassle getting there. Pout.

What is even happening?

  • Had tacos for supper, wished it were steak.

  • Didn't have guac, thought there should be guac.

  • Explained fraternal vs. identical twins to kids.

  • Thought about the twins someone linked here, from snopes [link] (actually, thought about the boy frat twins mentioned further down that page, with different fathers)

  • Caught up with Natter.

  • Started checking brain for chip or other implant type thing.

It comes down to that I was planning on having a car and driving cross country, and kind of looking forward to it. Even though it's probably more sensible to fly and buy there, it's a lot higher stress and a lot lower fun. But as vw reminds me, if things go well with the job, I really won't have time for a cross-country drive.

It's a lot higher stress to fly there? But...but...but...the flight only takes 5 or six hours, right? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to drive cross country, but I imagine doing so alone would be really tiring, and not devoid of stress.
