Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Speaking of kitties - yesterday I saw a woman who had a cat's 'meow' as a ringtone. It was so realistic that people were looking around for the cat until he answered her phone.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

You know, this could make some kind of HGTV show - online decorating. You put up pictures of your place and people link you to things they think would work.

3 bedroom sets?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I find decorating very hard. I mean, I know what I would like, but I somehow keep winding up with Random Assorted Furniture, with Toys.

But we just got such a good bedroom set for Franny. It's all deco and pretty and very big girl. And it means the couple of kinda shabby chic pieces that are in her room now wil head over to the boy's room. I figure that last but not least we'll need to do our own bedroom, which these days is mostly Large Bed, with Clothes Strewn for accent.

3 bedroom sets?

Like- comforter/quilt/coverlet, shams, bedskirt, throw pillows, curtains. I have a winter one, a Fall/Spring one and a summer one, although I have taken to using the summer one as a throw for my couch.

I love this idea!

Bed, Bath and Beyond is another place you could try. This one is pretty and maybe has some of the right colors.

Hmm, maybe not, but it's fun!

I wish it would just go on and rain because this humidity is killing me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, Sophia, I'm impressed! But, um, don't you already have like 2.5 FTE worth of jobs?

Plans for the weekend: Clean apartment, pick up awesome dress from tailor, consolidate student loans, going-away thing for friend, maybe the movies.

I never had lunch, by accident. SO unlike me! I had a meeting scheduled from 12-1, so I had some popcorn at 11:30, and then after the meeting, I had another meeting, and then I was getting ready to leave (summer hours -- we can leave at 1!!!), and then I left at like 2 (not bad, all things considered), went to the library, checked out the big Banana Republic sale (nothing), went grocery shopping, and came home and ate an ice cream bar. I think dinner will be very very soon. And will be guac and chips.

OK, I understand having changeable sets, but that is a lot of storage space and also $$ in my head. I am the person who will not buy new twin bed sheets since I already have so many full-sized flat ones from everyone in my family who upgraded to queen and king.

Yeah. I am actually seriously thinking about quitting the theatre and taking a retail job for spending money. The tax is so bad on the theatre money, paid as extra compensation, that each time I am paid $750 I only bring home $300. And the theatre is driving me craxy. I am probably giving it another year just to see if things can improve, plus I need to deconnect myself (I have a lot of sewing equipment and costumes from my personal collection there)

I absolutely will not buy anything like that now, when I am not working and getting a discount. When I was working at Penny's I usually spent about $50- $100 a week there, but I was bringing home LOTS of stuff, usually for really deep clearance. Since I worked there for a couple of years, I knew when things were going to go down majorly-- there are a about 4 times a year when they just mark everything $1.77 - $4.77, plus I had a discount. And I am talking items that had a pricetag of over $100, marked to $4.77. A lot of those things would be things that we didn't carry in our store, but were returned. We had no place to put them, so they got the clearance mark.
