Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

One of my most memorable meals in the USSR was a bowl of oatmeal. It was delicious.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I hope he is feeling better, sarameg. YAY for BK.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Epic Tangent!

Aargh! I discovered that my swimsuit(the one I wear to swim laps) is disintegrating.(Luckily the areas that need to be covered hadn't disintegrated yet.) This means I have to go swimsuit shopping. Bleah.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I found the milk in Russia absolutely delicious. And I'm a big old milk ho.

Here's a thing or two about meetings: If you can't make it, tell me. If you say you can only make half and don't actually intend to, tell me. If your calendar isn't up to date, make it up to date. In all cases, afterwards really doesn't count as useful.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I ate incredibly well in Moscow. Did not try the milk, however. (Oh, but the ice cream...)

That was good too!

I didn't care for most of the Russian food I tried...it was okay, but nothing to note.

Their dairy, however! Mmm. No wonder they have milk bars.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've told you over and over and over again, my friend: I don't believe you lost the seeds of destruction.

I was gonna do that!

Um... but then I didn't, and left instead... hmm....

but nothing to note.

I found plenty to note. Not in good ways. Except the aforementioned bread and ice cream. The fresh veggies the babushkas brought to us in huge garbage bags were pretty good too.

Mister Kitty is home and we're upping his insulin a unit. He's doing quite well.

And I am flat wore out and my throat is scratchy. Thanks Robin and Sophia and any one else I'm forgetting who gave me advice on helping T learn her lines. We did that, and she also taped us reading them from the script so she can practice on her own later.

She's a delightful 11 year old, who can really really tell stories. Seriously, she's much beyond her age in that skill. She's still got that kid's tendency to ramble a bit and not know how to wrap things up, but when she's at the core of the story, she's got the best rhythm and inflections. I'm sort of in awe. I think I got some of her backstory, though it's kinda crazy, so I'm not sure how much is completely accurate. She's a sweet kid though. She was pretty shy at first, but just sort of bloomed over the evening. And lord, can she talk. And talk and talk and talk.

Oh and my ac is working. Original unit. Huh. There was a note saying they fixed it. It's putting out appropriately cold air and I guess the kicker will be if it doesn't spontaneously quit like it did this weekend.

Tommy, Brenda, do you have any vet recommendations? I'd like to find one relatively close.

I think my roommate's been using Higgins Animal Clinic on Belmont for the last 11 years.

yay!

Yay, for now

Ozzie spent the day at the vet too. He was a total doll for them, and no one could understand why I called him rage boy, until it was time to put him back in the crate, then they began to understand. Now he is locked in the spare bedroom, finally, after I spent 10 minutes figuring out how to open his crate without getting scratched to hell.
