Hi, Nilly!

P.S. Everyone has pretty pictures.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My mom posted in my LJ.

I saw that! It was super cute. But, you know, all of your friends agree with her.

Hey Alibelle!

Gary and Dancer!Nicole are expecting baby #2.

Also, I now own a Phil Bobblehead.

And Emmett's team won their little league baseball championship.

That's it - I'm out of news.

Hi, Hec!

Congratulations to Gary and Dancer!Nicole! I'd like to put in a request that the baby become Dancer!Baby, and that it dances its booties off.

Also, we sometimes have to caption Phil at work, and my friend commented that she was working on a poker show, and there was this weird guy who was being called the Unabomber, and that Jennifer Tilly was randomly wandering around. And I got to feel all knowledgable, because I was so informed about him. So, thanks for that.

Yay, Emmett!

Yay Emmett!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My mother might get an LJ account.

Never EVER going on my friends list. The idea of weeding through posts to see which were hidden from the parentals specifically and which were just obscuring my identity and those of my friends? That's work. Making my list sister-safe was enough effort.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I can't imagine either of my parents getting an LJ account, for which I am profoundly grateful.

I love commas.

LJ sounds like work in general.

Hi, ita! No one tried punching me in the throat today or bending my thumb backwards, and I thought of you.

On my USA trip I gave 3 friends the link to b.org, with insructions regarding following threads and the like (none of them were used to a forum that works like this). I can't imagine giving that link to my parents. A couple of my siblings, probably, but that's not the same as parent. And I myself only now created an lj account, but only for reading, so it's not like there's a problem in my parents having the link.

I created my mom's e-mail account. I love how enthusiastic she is about the whole thing.

Do you go to Krav today, Alibelle, or are you just glad of the lack of throat punching in general?
