Wow, you've really mastered the power of positive giving-up.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I love commas.

LJ sounds like work in general.

Hi, ita! No one tried punching me in the throat today or bending my thumb backwards, and I thought of you.

On my USA trip I gave 3 friends the link to b.org, with insructions regarding following threads and the like (none of them were used to a forum that works like this). I can't imagine giving that link to my parents. A couple of my siblings, probably, but that's not the same as parent. And I myself only now created an lj account, but only for reading, so it's not like there's a problem in my parents having the link.

I created my mom's e-mail account. I love how enthusiastic she is about the whole thing.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Do you go to Krav today, Alibelle, or are you just glad of the lack of throat punching in general?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No one tried punching me in the throat today or bending my thumb backwards, and I thought of you.

You missed me, didn't you? Admit it.

Also, I wasn't bending your thumb backwards so much as in on itself.

All of my immediate family reads my LJ. It started when I started it--as a chronicle of my move across country, and it's an easy enough way to keep track of things I mightn't say in the weekly call with the 'rents or the ping pong email with the sis. She's had an account (I made her) for a while, but started posting herself a month or so ago. It's weird to see her do her take on this sort of communication.

Not to mention it makes me feel like my posts are...fluff. But we're in it for different reasons, and we're radically different people.

Ha! The one time I went to krav was the time with you, when I felt like I was gonna die before we ever got there. So, you know, the other answer.

I did miss you, ita. Please say hi to your sister for me. I was just talking about her yesterday.

Fluffy posts are fine. My posts feel very stilted today.

Also, I need to do laundry, but laundry is insanely boring.

Also, I'm looking for volunteers. Who wants to buy me a couch? There is currently a sale at Ikea. I am partial to the Ektorp line.

On the USA trip, the friends who were following b.org knew everything they ever wanted to know about what I'm doing, with whom, and how I looked while doing that when people posted pictures. It was so very convenient. I couldn't always e-mail more than "I'm OK" for some of the time, so they loved the details. My parents got the more detailed phone calls.

My brother writes under a nick name on some Israeli site (poems and short stories, as well as a forum for the young writers). I identified him by accident and felt horrible about it until I got to tell him (he's on mandatory duty, that was the time before he had a cell phone, I had no way to reach him for at least a couple of weeks, and I couldn't tell my parents "um, when he calls, could you please deliver this message for him" without messing things up even worse).

It turned out, he didn't care at all that I know and that I read there. So now I occasionally do, just because he's so much fun to read.

Oh, goodness, yes!

I gave the link to b.org to a total of 3 friends. Right after ita's joking post, I got frightened e-mails from all 3. And they were the ones who were the least freaking-out about the trip, from the beginning. Of course, nobody believed that I either went to a krav lesson or had such a great time during it, but the contradiction never bothered them.

I still feel guilty about that one, at least a little.

Twas funny though.

eta: Alibelle, I hope you will keep posting more, now that you have the internets at home. Earlier would be better though.

Night all!

Night, Perkins!

Also, now that it's already today for b.org, as well, I can post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is PMM's birthday. Happy birthday, Plei! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
