What is even happening?

(I know this belongs in Boxed set, but I am never going to get caught up there. )

That's the best thing about Natter. Everything belongs here. It's the kitchen junk drawer.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks, Cindy. Mom's doctor is a friend of my sister and a very good geriatric physician. We review her medications with him regularly. I've done a bunch of research and talked to a bunch of doctors, and I think she's getting the best care possible. It's not the medication; it's the disease, and there's simply nothing that can be done.

What is even happening?

I'm so sorry, Zenkitty. That's got to be so hard on all of you.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

All possible -ma to you and your family, with a little extra for your sister -- it's so draining, physically and emotionally, to be a parent's primary caregiver.

Always Anti-fascist!

What they all said, Zenkitty.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

You all are good folk. And yeah, JZ, it's definitely harder on my sister than me. I don't think I'm even emotionally capable of handling being a primary caregiver.

Your tag here.

So, the commercial says "...the pasta cooks in just minutes!" Um, ::everything:: cooks in just minutes.

And don't get me started on "up to".

What is even happening?

It's a lazy Saturday in Natter, Eddie. Get started on "up to." I don't feel like doing the laundry.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

In my world, a coffee frappe is the best frappe.

Not to be nasty, or anything, but the only true frappe is a fruit frappe, ideally some mixture of fruits, but a single fruit is allowable if necessary.

You would call it a milkshake, Sail.

Yes, but alas, a milkshake is only a pale shadow of a true frappe, which I have only found on the east coast and in a few health food stores in Oregon. Nectar of the gods. Except for certain times of the month, they're better even than chocolate.

I'm at work, but I'm glad to say that I've been here an hour and have yet to get any work done. Unfortunately, now that I've caught up with b.org and a few other things, I really have no excuse not to start with real work.

There's a funny key and work related story. I won't go into details, since you never know who might read this stuff and I have a healthy tough of paranoia, but suffice it to say that I spent 1/2 hour waiting outside in the rain with a backpack and hands full of coffee cups, while the person I was waiting for was waiting for me on the other side of the building. I was even pretty sure he was on the other side of the building, but neither of us had phones, and it would have taken me 15 or so minutes to walk around the block to the other side, by which time, since I didn't figure out right away that he must be on the other side, I figured he probably would have come to my side.

Ok. Real work. Here I come.
