So, the commercial says "...the pasta cooks in just minutes!" Um, ::everything:: cooks in just minutes.

And don't get me started on "up to".

What is even happening?

It's a lazy Saturday in Natter, Eddie. Get started on "up to." I don't feel like doing the laundry.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

In my world, a coffee frappe is the best frappe.

Not to be nasty, or anything, but the only true frappe is a fruit frappe, ideally some mixture of fruits, but a single fruit is allowable if necessary.

You would call it a milkshake, Sail.

Yes, but alas, a milkshake is only a pale shadow of a true frappe, which I have only found on the east coast and in a few health food stores in Oregon. Nectar of the gods. Except for certain times of the month, they're better even than chocolate.

I'm at work, but I'm glad to say that I've been here an hour and have yet to get any work done. Unfortunately, now that I've caught up with b.org and a few other things, I really have no excuse not to start with real work.

There's a funny key and work related story. I won't go into details, since you never know who might read this stuff and I have a healthy tough of paranoia, but suffice it to say that I spent 1/2 hour waiting outside in the rain with a backpack and hands full of coffee cups, while the person I was waiting for was waiting for me on the other side of the building. I was even pretty sure he was on the other side of the building, but neither of us had phones, and it would have taken me 15 or so minutes to walk around the block to the other side, by which time, since I didn't figure out right away that he must be on the other side, I figured he probably would have come to my side.

Ok. Real work. Here I come.

Get started on "up to."

"Up to" can mean zero. As in "You can make up to $50,000 in a month!"

Hmm, if you consider integers and not natural numbers, "up to" can mean you'd lose money in a month too.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

It is hot and I have accomplished yard work. I think this means I get to go to the movies and sit inside a cool theater.

Yes. I thought I was going to get to read a big rant, though. This was like "Don't get me started on 'up to' or my inner crank may go all the way up to rant."

Sorry to disappoint. Too hot to rant anyway.

That's a weird word, disappoint. I don't know about you, but I say dis·a·point, but dictionary dot com says dis·ap·point. It's that second syllable and the second 'p' that gets me.

Well, in fairness, it's appoint's fault... disappoint is just a dysfunctional co-dependant.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

To continue the Frappe/Milshake discussion, I have Mayan Chocolate ice cream, NF milk, and refrigerated brewed decaf. Good milkshake makings, or no?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

absosmurfly. if you add only a little milk and crushed ice and you basically have a mocha blast.

Cool. I even have ice, so that works
